Tina Edwards Akintayo

Tina Edwards Akintayo serves as the curator and first Director of the Meetings & Conferences Department of the House of the Lord Churches.  In this capacity, she oversees planning for all national meetings and conferences.

As a member-in-diaspora, Tina relocated to Atlanta, GA, where after years of professional experience in the hospitality industry, she developed her own consulting company, Akintayo Management Group (AMG), offering sound and tactical approaches to Project Management and Event Management.

Tina is a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional (LEED AP), serving the hospitality community, and more recently the sustainability community for over 20 years.  She has worked as the National Director of Global Accounts for Omni Hotels Corporation and as the Director of Housing for the Democratic National Convention in 2008.  Her consulting company AMG was awarded contracts in 2012, 2016 and 2020 overseeing the entire Housing process for over 50,000 Convention stakeholders. Tina’s other achievements include producing the Salute to Greatness Awards Banquets during Martin Luther King weekend in 2015 and 2016 as well as administrating event logistics for the Power Rising Summit in 2018 and 2019. 

Tina’s professionalism and commitment to solid execution of services has earned her numerous awards, from the “Top 100s List of Influential Women in Georgia” with Women Looking Ahead Magazine; the “Rising Star” Award from Richfield Hospitality and a host of other awards from Omni Hotels Corporation, to the Georgia Meeting Professionals International (GAMPI) and Society of Government Meeting Professionals (SGMP), to name just a few.

Along with all of her achievements is her greatest work, her family – her husband, Emmanuel and her two amazing children, Caleb and Christianne. As a “Daughter of the House,” Tina follows in the footsteps of her mother, Senior Minister Alice B. Edwards, National Director of Missions, by living a life of service to God and His people.
